The time has come, the ride is here!! Now to make sure you’re ready…

Here’s all the important info you need in order to have a GREAT weekend riding to #crushMS: 

 

TEAM FUNDRAISING UPDATE:

• We’ve raised $238,083 and are currently the number 1 fundraising team! Great work, let’s keep it up and watch those donations roll in!!
• FAQ: What if I don’t meet the $400 minimum before the ride?
  • If you have not turned in the minimum donation by the start of the event, the National MS Society will discuss payment options with you, including charging the balance on a credit card. No need to stop there, though – you have until August 4th to be eligible for prizes, and until mid September 30th, 2017 to turn in donations.
• Annual Fundraiser:
  • We raised $8,455! HUGE thanks to all who came out to support the event!
  • The money has already been submitted as a Team Gift and will be split evenly after the ride amongst those who raised the $400 fundraising minimum before the fundraiser.

JERSEY & BIB PICK-UPS:

• Friday 6/23 at the Bike MS Expo at FRCC in Westminster from 3pm – 7pm
  • Pick up your TLH jersey and your BIBS (if you ordered them)
  • Grab goodies from some of our sponsors including Justin’s, Nuun & Allegro
  • Pick up your MS packet
  • Get a last minute bike tune up
  • Meet some of your teammates 
• Saturday morning at the starting line in Westminster
  • Look for Sara Barfoot near the Left Hand Limo/Allegro Bus starting at 5:15am

WEEKEND WEATHER UPDATES:

• Saturday:
  • High of 71 with no chance of rain
  • Intervals of clouds and sunshine
  • Winds NE at 10 to 15 mph.
• Sunday:
  • High of 74 with no chance of rain
  • Intervals of clouds and sunshine
  • Winds E at 10 to 15 mph.

WHAT TO BRING: 

• Make sure you bring everything you need to have a safe, comfortable ride… don’t forget your:
  • Amazing 2017 TLH jersey
  • Helmet (you aren’t allowed to ride without one!)
  • Shoes
  • Cellphone
  • Water bottles
  • ID (for drinking beer at the finish line – you cannot drink without it!)
  • Spare tires/fix a flat kit
  • CASH to TIP our amazing masseuses and to buy your 2017 TLH shirt in our tent. 
  • SUPERHERO STUFF! You read that right… Our Team Tent theme this year is Superheroes, so dust off your cape, grab your mask and come prepared to save the world, one mile for MS at a time!

• Check out the Route options for Day 1 & Day 2 – maps are available on the MS Society website. 

 

SATURDAY MORNING:

• Meet at the vintage Allegro coffee bus near the starting line! Yep, Allegro Coffee has come through in a HUGE way yet again. The Allegro FLXBUS, a 1951 vintage bus turned mobile coffee bar, is back and ready to serve you a latte or spot of tea before you take off in the morning. They will be parked on site with Stephen & Susann serving up drinks for our team starting at 5:15am on Saturday.
• LINE UP AT 6:00am! Plan to line up @ 6:00am near the start line. We’ll be the one of the first groups out and would hate for someone to be in the bathroom and find that we’re already gone! Just look for the sea of Team Left Hand jerseys. 

SATURDAY TEAM VILLAGE:  

• Our amazing volunteers & sponsors have worked hard to make this year’s Team Tent amazing, as always. After you finish riding, plan to hang out in our SUPERHERO THEMED Team Tent and enjoy…
  • BBQ from Georgia Boys (lunch starts around 12:00 because hand pullin’ all that delicious pork takes time)!
  • Treats from KIND, Skinny Pop & Justin’s!
  • Vegetarian options from Biscuits & Berries!
  • Private team masseuses!
  • COUCHES courtesy of Aaron’s!
  • KEG FOOTH BATHS! 
  • COLD LEFT HAND BEER!

MASSAGES:

• Big thanks to Cathy Balan for once again arranging our private team masseuses!
• Spots are full – sign up is closed until further notice. 
• You may bring $20 plus a tip to CSU with you on Saturday and take a chance that an appointment may be available late afternoon.
• We will send an email that signup is open again if we can secure another masseuse.
• Please remember the masseuses are donating their time and thank them with a generous tip!

TEAM BEER!

• Just another perk of being on Team Left Hand… a TEAM ONLY BEER!
  • Thanks to those who voted at our annual fundraiser, this year’s beer is a Pear Pale Ale only available to Team Left Hand riders & support staff!
  • Tasting notes from the brewer: “The color is great; nice shade of orange from the caramel but low key. The pear is just right: leaves you guessing what exactly it is, definitely adds something good to the beer, but it isn’t cloying or clichéd. The bitterness is right on as well, and the hops are fruity and citrusy without ruining the pear subtlety.”

TEAM PHOTO AT CSU:

• 3:30PM Saturday in front of our Team Tent!
  • Our team is huge and awesome and we want to document that. So plan to be at our Team Tent at 3:30PM with your best smile ready!

 

SUNDAY MORNING:

• Meet at the vintage Allegro coffee bus near the starting line! Yep, we’ve upgraded and will have the Allegro FLXBUS serving delicious caffeinated beverages BOTH DAYS! Service goes from 5:15am to 7:00am. Plan for a few extra minutes in the morning to meet up with your friends, grab some coffee and start Day 2 off right!
