The ride is here – we made it! Now it’s time to make sure you’re ready…
Here’s the important info you need in order to have a great weekend: 

TEAM FUNDRAISING UPDATE:

  • We’ve raised $79,613 and are currently the number 3 fundraising team! Great work, let’s keep it up!! 
    • PLEASE KEEP FUNDRAISING BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT!!!
  • FAQ: What if I don’t meet the $300 minimum before the ride?
    • The required $300 minimum fundraising must be raised prior to picking up your Rider Packet. If you anticipate not being able to meet the minimum fundraising requirement of $300 for the Bike MS: Valero Ride to the River 2016, please contact the Fundraising Support Center at once by email at FundraisingSupport@nmss.org or by phone at 855-372-1331 to discuss your options.

JERSEY & BIB PICK-UPS:

  • Thursday 9/29 at San Antonio Flying Saucer
    • 6:30pm – 8:30pm
    • 11255 Huebner Rd #212, San Antonio, TX 78230
      • Pick up your TLH jersey and your BIBS (if you ordered them)
      • Pick up your MS Society packet 
      • Grab goodies from some of our sponsors including Justin’s, Nuun & Allegro
      • Enjoy some free apps (provided by our sponsor Flying Saucer) and have a Left Hand pint
      • Pick up a 2016 Team Left Hand shirt – $20 CASH (proceeds go to the NMSS)
      • Bond with your teammates 
      • Ask last minute questions about the weekend
  • Friday 9/30 at the Bike MS Expo at the Omni Hotel in the Colonnade
    • 4:00pm – 8:00pm
      • Go see Ilene Kramer at the Expo, or call her at 210-325-0036 to make other arrangements to pick up before 3pm on Friday. 
      • Any unclaimed jerseys can be picked up with Sara at the Team Tent on Saturday

MS PACKET PICK UP:

  • Thursday 9/29 at San Antonio Flying Saucer from 6:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Friday 9/20 at the Omni Hotel in the Colonnade from 4:00pm – 8:00pm 
  • NOTE – THERE IS NO PACKET PICK UP SATURDAY MORNING – Please DO NOT expect to ride if you do not pick up your packet.

WHAT TO BRING: 

  • Make sure you bring everything you need to have a safe, comfortable ride… don’t forget your:
    • Amazing 2016 TLH jersey 
    • Helmet (you aren’t allowed to ride without one!)
    • Shoes
    • Cellphone
    • Water bottles
    • ID (for drinking beer at the finish line)
    • Spare tires/fix a flat kit
    • CASH to tip our volunteer masseuses handsomely & to buy your 2016 TLH shirt in our tent

ROUTES:

SATURDAY MORNING:

  • Ride starts at 8:00am – Team Lineup at 7:30am 
    • Look for the sea of TLH jerseys
    • We are in the top ten so we’ll be close to the front! 
  • Breakfast served 6:00am – 7:30am
  • GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME TO GET IN, GET PARKED AND GET READY!
    • The starting line is a busy place, so we suggest you arrive no later than 7:00am
    • Steve & Ilene will be on site at 6:30am

SATURDAY TEAM VILLAGE:

  • Team Tent: 
    • Our amazing volunteers & sponsors have worked hard to make our Team Tent amazing right from the start! After you finish riding, plan to hang out and enjoy…
      • KEG FOOTH BATHS! 
      • COLD LEFT HAND BEER!

      • PRIVATE TEAM MASSEUSES! 
      • GOOD TIMES AND LAUGHS WITH OUR TEAM!

    • DELICIOUS BBQ for all TLH riders & volunteers thanks to Mike & his crew from Highlander Bar & Grill 
    • Snacks galore from our other amazing sponsors
  • Beer!!!!
    • All riders receive 3 pints (except TLH… we don’t count for you *shhhhh*)
    • We’ll have 6 brews from Left Hand, plus our Busted Sandal collaboration On Your Left Hefe (available for our riders only)
  • Massages!
    • We’ve got a team of amazing volunteer masseuses from Elements Massage ready to help you recover after the ride!
