When I rode I was one of those that just posted to Facebook what was generated from the MS page.  However, each time someone donated, I posted a picture of that person and myself to thank them.  It not only acknowledges that I was grateful for the donation, but it popped the post back on Facebook without me posting over and over again to remind people to donate if they wanted.
